Licensing
Last updated 5 July 2026
Beenga exists to solve one problem: music and sound with zero licensing risk. This page explains, in plain language, what you get and why it is safe.
How Beenga makes audio
Beenga does not train on, sample, or reproduce copyrighted recordings. It works in two stages:
- Compose — the notes, rhythms and sound design are generated by Beenga's own rule-based engine (SurTaal for melody; a DSP synthesis engine for textures and effects).
- Render — the composition is voiced entirely with synthesis and CC0 (public-domain) samples, which carry no attribution or royalty obligations.
The licence you receive
Audio you generate or download from Beenga is provided royalty-free. You may:
- Use it in personal and commercial projects — videos, games, apps, podcasts, ads and films;
- Monetise the projects it appears in (e.g. YouTube ad revenue);
- Modify, edit, loop and remix it;
- Use it worldwide, in perpetuity, with no attribution required (attribution to “Beenga” is welcome but optional).
You may not resell or redistribute the raw generated files as a stand-alone stock-audio product, or claim to be the original creator of the Beenga engine. In short: use the sound in your work freely; don't repackage the library itself.
Ownership & originality
Because tracks are generated procedurally, no third party holds rights in them, and Beenga grants you the broad licence above. Note that purely machine-generated output may have limited copyright protection against others copying it in some jurisdictions; your own creative selection, editing and arrangement strengthen your position.
No warranty
The audio is provided “as is”. While Beenga is designed to be license-clean by construction, you are responsible for how you use it. See our Terms for the full disclaimer.
